An international law firm is looking to add to their Solutions team, a fantastic opportunity to join a collegiate team working across both sides of the Atlantic and to progress your career. Competitive salary on offer, ideally looking for someone already within a law firm that has contract automation experience as well as other LegalTech tools. The client is flexible on location, having offices in Manchester and London, remote working is available but ideally the candidate should be able to go to the London office once a week.

The Role

  • Automation of single or multiple documents, publishing these via a dynamic online questionnaire
  • Application of logic and rules to ensure that fee earners documents are produced with the correct content and formatting
  • Ensuring all templates adhere to the firm’s consistent approach to automation (naming conventions etc. and all templates and output documents are in the firm’s house style)
  • Maintenance of existing automated documents
  • Assistance with Neota Logic applications and other expertsystems for decision-making automation
  • Assistance with designing HighQ Collaboration portals, where appropriate, to host client-specific or practice-specific expert systems and document automation tools
  • Assistance in Kira AI/Machine Learning projects, including clause extraction projects, working with the Knowledge Management team as appropriate
  • Assistance with horizon scanning for new innovations that incorporate expert systems and automation

The Candidate

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience of automating documents using Contract Express, preferably gained in a law firm (or legal department)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (2010 preferred), particularly Word and house style applications
  • An understanding of the structure, complexity and organisation of legal documents (e.g. contracts)
  • A keen interest in the future direction of legal technology systems.
  • Enthusiasm for all forms of legal automation and a pride in the quality of the output from the system
  • Strong broad IT skills
  • Experience of working in a law firm
  • Legal training and qualifications
